Ministry of Industry, Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection is implementing the project of Promoting Eco-Innovation and Green Practices of MSMEs in Mekong Countries and People’s Republic of China with Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund(LMCSF). The official launch of the project was successfully completed on March 28,2025 .

               As part of the project activities, a team led by experts conducted Qualitative and Quantitative Surveys on Eco-innovation and Green practices.The team carried out onsite data collection in Bago, Magway, Yangon, and Ayeyarwady Regions, while surveys for the remaining States/Regions and the Mekong sub-region were conducted online. The workshop was held from January 19 to 21, 2026, at the Grand Amara Hotel in Naypyidaw to review the survey results with experts and officials, and to share these findings with Mekong-Lancang countries.

Approximately 100 participants attended the workshop, including 25 subject-matter representatives from the Ministry of Industry and related ministries, officials in charge of the SME departments from States, Regions, and Union Territories, 51 MSMEs, 5 representatives from Thailand, the People's Republic of China, and Laos in person, and 3 representatives from Cambodia online.
